Introduction:

This is a 216 bedded superspeciality children hospital associated with Maulana Azad Medical College; besides preventive & curative services it will impart postgraduate training to MD and Diploma students in pediatrics. The hospital is catering to the medical needs of East Delhi and adjoining population with an average OPD attendance of about 250 patients per day.

Sanctioned Posts:

Presently 213 posts of various categories including 11 asst. Professors of Pediatric sub specialties are sanctioned. Security, Sanitation, Kitchen and other utility services are outsourced.

Indoor and Emergency services will start very soon. Initially 50 beds will be functional. By end of financial year 04 -05, all 216 beds and paid rooms will be fully functional.

Drug Distribution:

Medicines prescribed by the doctors are available as per Delhi Govt drug formulary on the dispensing counters free of cost.

All officials dealing with public will wear badges on their uniform displaying their names and designations. This will ensure contact with right person in the time of need. Any discourtesy, dishonesty shown in discharge of duties can be reported to the Senior Faculty Members / MO I/C OPD.
